Help us fill our Giving Tree this winter for local shelters

Beginning Saturday, November 24th, and continuing into the new year, the library has set up a Giving Tree to benefit local shelters. We are asking the community to donate new or handmade socks, scarves, gloves, mittens and hats for children and adults. The library’s goal will be to fill the tree as many times as possible between now and March to help those in need stay warm through the winter. Please drop off your donations during library hours.

Learn about SHADOWS at story hour

For the next few weeks, children 3 to 5 years old will learn about light and shadow relationships during story hour every Wednesday at 10:30 AM starting on November 28, 2007. Shadows is the next topic from the Mother Goose program "What's the BIG idea?" We will read several books about the topic and have fun with hands-on learning in addition to music and movement, singing songs and signing with Simon. Register online at www.ehfpl.org or call 873-8248.

Construction at EHFPL

UPDATE: The rear entrance is now open. Please use caution as the work continues. Also, the book drop has returned! Thank you for your cooperation!

For the next few weeks, please use the front door to enter and exit the library while we are getting a new sidewalk for the rear entrance. Also, please note that the video/DVD drop box will be inaccessible during this time. Additionally, our book drop has been removed for a much-needed sprucing up.

All library materials must be returned to the circulation desk during regular library hours.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your experience at EHFPL!
