Spring into Spring!

There's plenty to do at your library this spring.

Our first Video Game Night was a huge success. and we look forward to our first Anime Night on Thursday, March 25th at 5pm. Both are monthly events, so keep in touch.

Be a Refuse Rembrandt! Create a work of art from throw-away items and/or recyclables; enter our Trash to Treasures Art Contest. The contest will start on March 22nd, and end on Earth Day. Winners will be selected from three age groups at an open house at 4pm on April 22nd. Refreshments will be served.

On Monday, April 12th at 6pm, we'll welcome Master Wildlife Conservationist Volunteer Al Petell. Al will present Our Wild Neighbors. Learn about the wild animals that visit your yard, and what to do about unwanted wild house-guests. Don't miss this one! It will be a fun and enlightening evening!

Part two of our book writing and publishing program for kids 11-18 is in progress, and new authors and artists are always welcome to join us. Contribute a story, poem or illustration to Vampires and Werewolves of Moodus (not the official title), and see your work in a published book.

Adult writers who would like to see their short stories in print are invited to join us on Monday, May 17th at 6pm for The Write Club: workshops, including book publishing, and fun exercises for the beginning writer -but advanced writers are welcome to join us.

For more details about these programs, or to register, please stop in or call us at (860) 873-8248.
