Movie Nights! Program Updates!

Unfortunately, the August 18th mushroom presentation was cancelled, but will be rescheduled. Fortunately, we have a new program for the following day:

Want to help stop global warming and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels? On August 19th from 6:30-8 p.m., high school science teacher Bob Ballek will explain why now is the time to GO SOLAR. Bob recently helped install an 11 kilowatt solar array, and will share his experience on this project as well as various considerations and incentives, such as rebates and leasing options. Discover why solar hot water and photovoltaic applications are clean, attractive and affordable - then join us for a snack after the presentation. Please call or stop in at the library to register.

The Write Club is off to a good start. Our third meeting will be on Monday August 30th at 6:00 p.m. If you are interested in the processes of creative writing, book illustration and/or self-publishing, come on in and join the fun!

The month of August ushers in our Movie Nights. On Thursday August 12th at 6:30 p.m., Plan 9 From Outer Space will launch our monthly Terrible Thursdays Movie Night. Next, on Friday August 13th at 6:30 p.m., see Alice in Wonderland for the premier of our monthly Friday Night Blockbusters. Weather permitting, the movies will be shown outside. Stop in or call for more information about Movie Nights at Your Friendly Neighborhood Library.

Please scroll down for the complete list of summer programs still to come. Thanks!
