Story Hour is Back! Stories, Crafts, Movies and More!

Starting Wednesday September 14th 10-11 am enjoy stories read by Grandma Beth, crafts, games, movies and more. Here is the Fall schedule:

September: Celebrate the changing season
14th - Welcome to the Library and Mmmm! Apples! Meet the library staff, hear the story of Johnny Appleseed, and make an apple mobile.
21st - How do leaves change color and why? Make a decorative leaf wreath and listen to stories.
28th - Billy Goats Gruff and other troll tales. Make a cork troll and a tree-branch troll house.

October: Things that go bump!
5th - Do skeletons sneeze? Funny skeleton stories. Assemble a paper skeleton.
12th - How do pumpkins grow? Hear stories and paint a ceramic pumpkin.
19th- Ghosts, goblins & other spooky things. Halloween stories. Make a milk-jug ghost lantern.
26th - Storybook Movies: Strega Nonna/Teeny Tiny Witch. Make a clothespin witch on a broomstick.

November: Turkeys and wild things
2nd - Knights, princesses and dragons. Hear stories and make a winged dragon.
9th - Thanksgiving stories and a barn craft.
16th - The Thanksgiving theme continues with stories and a turkey craft.
23rd - No Story Hour
30th - Storybook Movie: Where The Wild Things Are. Make a Wild Things character.

Announcing Fun Friday our new program for kids age 6+, at 4:30 every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Starting September 23rd - play the Bird Migration Game. October 14th - pumpkin painting and the origins of Halloween. October 28th - assemble paper skeletons and learn about bones. November 11th build a troll city.
