Art and Invention at Your Friendly Neighborhood Library

While you're visiting the library, please take some time to see the truly awesome collages created by talented students from Nathan Hale-Ray High. And while you're at it, check out the Invention Convention display created by imaginative students from Nathan Hale-Ray Middle School.

The collages are fashioned from torn and cut newspaper print. By this means, the students have created truly stunning works of art.

The NHRMS Invention Convention  is in its 7th year. "It is a fun and learning program designed to develop, encourage and enhance students' critical thinking skills through invention." The participants are from grades 4 through 8. All of the inventions are imaginative and clever.

Because the Invention display boards are much larger than the collages, they are displayed in the upper section of the library, and the collages are downstairs in the children's section.

Both displays are really great! So take some time to check them out before checking out. You'll be glad you did.
